Chapter One

One day, on a day much like today, a young man's story was born. He was pretty normal... Well, not exactly. He was more of the observing type. He wasn't really outstanding at anything he did. If he really wanted to, he could go from group to group of kids at school. These groups are called "clickes." They are the groups known as: emo's, jocks, preps, hunters, pot heads, geeks, nerds, etc., etc. He has the ability to go where ever he wants. But, he was just too lazy and really didn't think much of it to care about it. Then, one day after school, he decided to make three wishes to himself. The first wish was to have a half transformation, a body of a cat: the ears, eyes and tail. Also, having the abilities of a cat. The second wish was to have a chance to go to another world to fight and protect that world. His third and final wish was to have perfect health.

Nothing happened after that, though. He never thought that it would, anyway. that night, after he went to bed, a star started blinking rapidly, then everything was a normal pace, like absolutely nothing happened. The next morning, after waking up at his normal time of 4:20 am, he was basically sleepwalking to take a shower. While taking a shower and washing his hair, he felt two perky ears that were incredibly soft. He still thought nothing of it... until he went to wash his backside. He was stopped by something long and almost impossibly soft. A TAIL!! That was his thought. He was a somewhat intelligent person. So he ignored the tail and ears and got out of the shower calmly. He got dressed and wrapped the tail around his waist, like a belt, and put on a beanie to cover the ears.

Now, though he is doubting himself and thinking, "This is still a dream! It's got to be!" He still insisted on going to school and acting like it was a normal day. Because of the shock of the ears and tail, he failed to notice he had no acne of any sort or any wounds. He went outside to go on the bus, but as soon as he stepped outside the door, his eyes went blurry and then went clearer than he had ever seen before and saw at an amazingly long distance. He tried to ingore that as well and went down to get on the bus. He got aboard and went to school, ignoring it all and somehow no one noticed the difference in him (since he was just an observer in the first place and no one cared that much about him.)

Then it was lunch time. It was a normal lunch. He got his lunch and sat down at his normal table. Then, something happened that was unexpected by him, or anyone!!! He got sharp pains through his ears as his ears finally adapted and he got his hearing in those ears. It was so loud and a sharp hearing. He soon got a migrain for the approximately fifteen minutes that it took for him to adapt to the ears and to control what he was hearing. He could hear a pin drop in a classroom that was three rooms away on carpet, if he chose.

It was all surreal and he checked his human ears. As his hand rose to the ears his eyes became wide as he discovered that those ears weren't there anymore. He could hear conversations across the cafeteria in perfect detail. He got used to the new ears quickly.

He heads for his next class when something catches his ears. He hears light footsteps following him. It doesn't really matter to him until he realizes that it is faint, even to those keen ears. He turns and just before he does that, the footsteps stop. Nothing is there when he completes the turn. Not even a single student walking down the halls, but he can still hear the footsteps. So, he ignores it, but feels as if he is being watched keenly. He forces himself to ignore it. He continues to his next class.

As he starts walking, he hears the light footsteps atain, but ignores them. The rest of the next two classes it was the same feeling where ever he went. Then he went to use the bathroom, since his butt was feeling a bit itchy. So, he went to check on it. This time, the footsteps didn't follow. Instead, they were waiting for him.

At the bathroom, it was his tail, this time. It was itchy from the nerves connecting it to his body. It was amazing how easily he was able to control this new "item/ability" and it moved in such a graceful manner that it enchanted himself.

After gaining control over "it" he wraps it around himself again, just like before, and heads back to the classroom, only wasting five minutes of the time. There was nothing interesting that happened on his way back. After that class ended, he decided to test himself and decided not to go on the bus.

The footsteps followed him (he just ignored it though.) He waits until there is no one in sight or in ear shot -- his ear shot. The footsteps were silent, but he still felt the keen eyes watching him intently. Then, all of a sudden, too suddenly, so quick, so agile, so stunningly he moved. He just started running, so fast, impossibly fast. Yet, at the same time so gracefully he was running. The light footsteps, though, somehow were keeping up with him. No, even better, they were faster and more calm than him. The hour and a half bus ride turned into a fifteen minute sprint, and yet no one even noticed the fast entity just running past anything and everything.
